Tasting Notes:<\/strong>
\nMade from 100% Merlot from 50 years old vineyards, this wine offers light and dark fruit aromas, like cranberry, black cherry, and raspberry. A spicy, floral, and chocolate note is found in this structured, bold wine on the palate.<\/p>\n

Gastronomy:<\/strong>
\nAs with most Bordeaux reds, this wine works incredibly well with intense and grilled red meats like beef, veal, and cheeses. Also delicious with dark chocolate.<\/p>\n

Vineyards:<\/strong>
\nTerrior: Limestone and clay-limestone soils.The 2016 vintage was marked by a very wet (400 mm) and mild winter giving a late but homogeneous bud burst. The particularly severe drought in summer (only 8 mm in August) gave rise to late veraison. This offers a very balanced vintage with a nice fat and beautiful tannins and a rare aromatic complex.
\nIt is difficult to follow on from a vintage as fantastic as 2015. Our 2016 vintage is also one of our best vintages of the beginning of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

Ageing method:<\/strong>
\nAged in oak barrels for one year.<\/p>\n
