Characteristics
Tasting Notes:
A softer wine with silkier tannins and gentler acidity compared to other Bordeaux reds. Smooth and intriguing, this wine has the notes of dark fruits like blackberries, plums, cherry and cassis, go along with leather and earthy note. Especially, the raspberry note with an exciting minerality can be tasted at the end, thanks to the limestone-rich soils of the vineyards located near the ocean and two rivers.
Gastronomy:
The wine works well with red meats and game meats, as well as poultry like chicken and duck.
Vineyards:
The vineyards are affected by the ocean and two rivers. The soils are limestone-rich and add significantly to the wine’s minerality.
Ageing method:
The wines undergo a lengthy fermentation process, ten days of maceration on the skins, and malolactic fermentation that occurs in the vats. Thereafter, wines are aged for a year before being released.
