Tasting Notes:
Made from 100% Merlot from 50 years old vineyards, this wine offers light and dark fruit aromas, like cranberry, black cherry, and raspberry. A spicy, floral, and chocolate note is found in this structured, bold wine on the palate.

Gastronomy:
As with most Bordeaux reds, this wine works incredibly well with intense and grilled red meats like beef, veal, and cheeses. Also delicious with dark chocolate.

Vineyards:
Terrior: Limestone and clay-limestone soils. The 2016 vintage was marked by a very wet (400 mm) and mild winter giving a late but homogeneous bud burst. The particularly severe drought in summer (only 8 mm in August) gave rise to late veraison. This offers a very balanced vintage with a nice fat and beautiful tannins and a rare aromatic complex.
It is difficult to follow on from a vintage as fantastic as 2015. Our 2016 vintage is also one of our best vintages of the beginning of the 21st century.

Ageing method:
Aged in oak barrels for one year.

Award:
Bordeaux Supérieur 2016 vintage was awarded: Gold medal at the Lyon Internation Wine Competition.

Serving temperature:
The serving temperature is extremely important and crucial to unlocking the full flavour and aromas of a wine. It is important to remember that each wine has an ideal serving temperature and one temperature is not suitable for all.
